Once the coop was completed and the girls were out of the garage, we worked quickly to get the run completed so they weren't stuck in the coop 24/7.
Notice in the picture above that there is a hole in the chicken wire just above the little brown chick. We finished the run and the very next day noticed this hole. We have raccoons in our area and apparently they tried to get in. So we now have 3 layers of chicken wire around the bottom half of the coop and that seems to have discouraged any further attempts to get at our girls.
This is Blacky. She was trying to peck at the jewel in the middle of Meg's flower.
Watermelon is one of their favorite snack!
