Day 1 building chicken coop

The chickens arrived a little earlier than we thought. So Building the coop become number 1 on the priority list. This is after we'd spent 4 weekends working in the yard, getting it ready for the coop, the garden and new grow boxes. We were already pooped out. But the little girls were poopin' all over the garage and making an absolute mess. So....we rushed to get the coop done.

Coop floor is done. Good thing, we were working by candle light!

First wall up.

We had to call it a night. I don't think the neighbors appreciated our compressor going off every few minutes.

Ter designed the coop. We spent several hours/days looking on line for different styles and this is what we came up with. I wish I had his drawings. He did them in 3D so we knew exactly what it would look like before we started. This wasn't for my benefit but for the benefit of all our friends who asked what it was going to look like. Maybe some day he'll do a working set of drawings and sell his design.
