Summer Vacation Day 6

Day 6 was an adventure to Bear Country. We've never done anything like this before and what a blast! You stay in your car with the windows rolled up. It's self guided, but with the amount of cars on the road, you just follow whoever is in front of you. They have a few teasers before you actually get to the bears. So first we say.....

Reindeer
White Alaskan wolves

Rams

Mountain goats, who were not affraid of anyone. It's just my door window that separates us.

Then last but not least, the BEARS!!!
Ter and I took turns passing the camera back and forth. Most of these bears are just a few feet away from us.
Look at these guys bathing in the sun, not a care in the world!

Meandering in front of our car....

Scratching his back.....
And kickin' back and relaxing.

Once we finished the car tour we could get out and walk around the smaller pens where the baby bears and kept. This was so fun. We watched them play, fight and beg for food.

I'm only standing about 4 ft. above this little guys head!

Next stop is Old Macdonalds Farm. This place was fun as well. Actually everywhere we went we had a great time!
Here's Brevin sporting his new sling!

Feeding time for the baby calf...

Playing with the baby goats... Megan is may animal lover so she was in heaven!
Spencer found out that if he bent down the baby goats would play king of the mountain on his back.
Things got a little crazy when two were fighting to get up at the same time. Spencer just kept his head down so he wouldn't get butted or kicked.

Brevin with one of the rabbits...

Later that evening when the kids went to the water park, we noticed that Spencer was scratched to bits from the goats hooves. He said it didn't hurt, it only looks bad.

So the last stop of the day was the indoor water park. I dropped Ter and the kids off and went shopping. They were happy and I was happy! Yipee!

Brevin nervous about getting to crazy......

Spence and Meg were fearless on thoese huge slides....

All in all we had a great day!
