Air Force Week

Summer started with a bang! We took the kids up north the Hill Air Force Base in celebration of Air Force Week. What an amazing event! The planes are so huge up close. This is a cargo plane where we could walk through at 15 people across and at least a hundred rows long. More pictures below.

Grandpa Lewis told us all about flying in formation and the names of their different moves. We also learned about the speed of sound as well as the different types of weapons the planes carry.

Kids helping to see the scale of the airplane tires.

Kids and Ter going through the airplanes. It got quite hot inside, but is was so interesting to see all the gadgets and gizmos.

Teya checking out the backside of a bomb.

Brevin checking out the cockpit of a helicopter.
Here's the cargo plane, Sarah heading in, looking back at dad the way we came, then looking forward to where we're going. This was just the body. There was a hole additional level up top for people.
