Halloween Costumes

The kids' school had a Halloween celebration, but with a twist. Each child was required to dress up as a character from a book. Brevin chose to be a Chicago Bear after finding a book about their team at the library. Spencer was an ancient Japanese Ninja. He's been into reading about WWII and found some old history books where they talk about the original Ninja's. Megan loves the Narnia stories and dressed as Lucy from "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," she even won a price for best costume.
This year I decided to buckle down and make the kids costumes. With my stash of fabric and my mom's, we were able to come up with everyone's costumes for about $20. Spencer and Brevin's were made to be their P.J.'s once the parties were over. They're already working on what to be next year.
